Love at first sight

In the spring of 1983 after graduating from culinary school I gratefully accepted a job at Suzanne's Bakery in Pocasset on Cape Cod that made French style pastries. I started on the 2nd shift with an older gentleman, Mr. O'Neal (owner of the bakery) . We were tasked with making pastries for the following day. That shift was full of instruction and as I came to learn I would be...."the night baker". 

The next day I anxiously arrived for my night shift. When I entered the bakery kitchen, my eyes connected with the most amazing girl with beaming blue eyes and an incredible smile - Carol. I looked into her eyes I felt a powerful connection, I felt her emotion; love at first sight! (Mr. O'Neal's daughter...).

Soon I found out that her jubilation upon meeting me, was in fact, that she wouldn't have to work 2nd shift now that I was there. So, love at first sight for me anyway.

Over the next few months Carol and I enjoyed more time together and our love did blossom:). 

Today, 38 years later, together we passionately make chocolates from the  finest ingredients smothered with Belgian Chocolate! We hope you enjoy eating them as much as we enjoy making them!
